Cycling in the Dominican Republic has grown steadily as both a recreational and competitive sport. Road cycling is the most visible format, with organized races and regional events drawing local participation. The country’s varied terrain, including coastal highways and mountainous regions, provides natural training conditions for endurance athletes. National cycling federations coordinate domestic competitions and international representation in Caribbean and Pan American events. While cycling does not dominate the national sports landscape, it maintains an active community supported by clubs and youth programs. Continued investment in infrastructure and organized competition could further strengthen its presence.
