Cycling in Ivory Coast exists primarily at the grassroots and regional competition level, with growing interest in both road and urban cycling. While football remains the dominant sport in the country, cycling has developed through local clubs and national federation efforts. Road races and community cycling events are organized periodically, especially in larger cities such as Abidjan. Infrastructure and equipment access remain challenges, but cycling’s low barrier to entry makes it accessible for recreational participation. Continued investment in youth programs and regional competition could strengthen the sport’s long-term development within the country.
