Horse Racing in Burundi

Horse racing in Burundi does not have a large-scale professional structure and is not among the country’s primary competitive sports. Formal racetracks and organized betting systems are limited or absent. Equestrian activity tends to be small and recreational rather than commercially structured. In contrast to countries with long-established racing traditions, Burundi’s equine activities are more closely associated with rural transport and agricultural life than with competitive racing. Without dedicated facilities or regulatory frameworks, horse racing remains a minor presence within the national sports landscape.
