Horse racing in Eritrea is not a dominant national sport, but equestrian traditions exist in certain cultural and rural contexts. Organized professional racing infrastructure, such as major racetracks or national racing circuits, is limited. Horses have historically played practical and ceremonial roles within communities rather than serving primarily as a commercial racing industry. While there is some interest in equestrian activity, large-scale competitive horse racing does not currently operate at a significant international level in Eritrea.
