Horse racing in Nunavut is not an organized or commercially structured sport. The territory’s Arctic climate, limited agricultural base, and high costs of animal transport make sustained equestrian racing impractical. While horses may be present in isolated recreational contexts elsewhere in Canada, Nunavut does not maintain racetracks, breeding operations, or formal racing events. As a result, horse racing does not play a meaningful role in the territory’s sporting landscape.
